Overview

The Short Version

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We collect only what's necessary to scan receipts, split bills, and power your trip hubs — nothing more.

RAVEN ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered receipt scanning and bill-splitting platform. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.

Data Collection

What We Collect

When you use RAVEN, we collect only what's needed to deliver the service:

Email address, first name, and optional phone number when you sign up.

Receipt Photos
Images you upload for AI scanning. Processed immediately, not retained long-term.

Bill & Trip Data
Item names, amounts, participant names, and payment statuses you create.

Payment Handles
Your Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, or Apple Pay username — only if you choose to add them.

We do not collect financial account numbers, payment credentials, government IDs, or location data.

Retention & Deletion

Data Retention

Bill and trip data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete any individual bill or trip from your dashboard at any time.

To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us at hello@ravensplit.com or call/text +1 (516) 234-7187. We'll process your request within 14 days.

How We Protect Your Data

All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. Your account is secured through Supabase Auth, which uses industry-standard JWT authentication and bcrypt password hashing.

Receipt images processed by AI are not stored on our servers beyond what's needed for your bill. We do not log or store your payment credential details — only the public handles (e.g. your Venmo username) you voluntarily add.

Children

Children's Privacy

RAVEN is not directed at individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us immediately at hello@ravensplit.com.

Updates

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we'll notify active users via email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
